Romans 8:28 – a verse of hope and encouragement.
Romans 8:29 – a verse of purpose and calling.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28, 29 NKJV)
Always tougher in the moment than in retrospect!
True! 🙂
Does it mean God controls everything (strict Calvinist) or God makes something good out of hell on earth? Either way I stay on the God side.
Peace
In my opinion because of the gift of free will God allows us to make our own decisions – meaning we were not created as robots – thank The Lord! The hard part is because of our free will we make mistakes and run into difficult situations. Then through His amazing grace he can take a bad situation and work it together for the good of the Kingdom. I’ve seen it and experienced it many times. God is faithful!
Amen!
