I am set free!

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭2‬ NKJV)

Thank you Lord that I am free! That freedom comes through faith in believing that what you have already said is true. For God cannot lie and He is faithful to His promises!

Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: (‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭11-14‬ NKJV)

Often our chastening is the result of entertaining sin in our lives. When we sin it is contrary to who we are and gives way to lies of the enemy. No sin is without consequence, but thankfully we have a Lord who picks us up when we are weak. He strengthens our hands and makes our path straight so we can yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

“No sin is without consequence, but thankfully we have a Lord who picks us up when we are weak.” Amen. The Holy Spirit doesn’t tear us down for sinning but pulls us up to open our eyes and show us who we really are in Him. Blessings.

    NAUGHTY

I’ve been a naughty boy today
    Thoughts bombard my addled brain
    Some are pleasing, rather nice
Some should end up down the drain
    Sadly, though, the devil knows
Just what revs my motor up
Cannot cut them off at source
    Images I tend to sup.

    As my body heaves away
    Hates pollution of the kind
    That infiltrates my Spirit home
    Courtesy of damaged mind
    Thankfully repentance comes
    Washed and purified by He
Who shed His precious blood abroad
To cleanse a sinner such as me.
