We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. And God does not take away life, but devises means so that he who is banished may not be an utter outcast from Him. (2 Samuel 14:14 AMP)
God is the giver of life, not the taker. He defeated death on the cross by resurrecting so that even from death we are free! He does not banish but redeems the banished. He devises means so the fatherless are not fatherless and so the outcast are not outcast.
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (John 17:3 NKJV)
Eternal life is knowing God, and God is always with us. It’s not just about the afterlife (once we’ve left our meat sacks behind in which the body will be as spilled water), it’s about knowing God and walking with Him now, drinking of His everlasting water. In this life we have an invitation to experience His love and goodness through and above any hardship or struggle we may face. Walk with Him today and be blessed!
