Good News!

I’ve got some great news to start off the new year:

Jesus tore the veil of separation!!

Hallelujah! Mighty is the Lord!

Happy New Year

Identity Restoration (A prophetic word for 2015)

2015 will be a great and powerful year of the LORD!  The Lord has shown me that in the year to come I am to prophesy back:

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying “Thus far the LORD has helped us.” -1 Samuel 7:12

As many have already prophesied there will be breakthrough, there will be a mighty wind of the Spirit to increase the glory of God among the living, there will be restoration, there will be dancing and great joy and there will be prophetic fulfillment of God placed dreams in the desire of your heart.  These will all come to fruition as we embrace our identity in the year ahead as sons and daughters and receive our inheritance that has already been given at the most important, pivotal point of time in history.

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. –John 19:30

I break off the lies that have been placed to hinder you from your true identity.  We look back at what was done so we can see who we are, whose we are and what we have.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. –Romans 8:15-16

As we seek we will find our reward.  The Lord is saying, “See I have placed before you an open door that no man can shut.”  This door is the doorway to your true identity and God given destiny.  Step in and receive all that He has for you.  This is an exciting time to be alive beloved!

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
-Numbers 6:24-26

Why did Jesus come?

I’ve often heard the gospel constricted or depleted down to only being a gospel of sin management.  Sadly this keeps many believers from entering into all that God has for them.  Yes, Adam sinned and man fell away from right standing with God and so something had to be done to save the world.  God knew all along that man would sin.  Jesus was not his plan B, He was the plan from the get go.  He has always been the only plan.  God is appalled by sin because it is harmful to those that He loves—us.  Purely out of love He sent His son Jesus to redeem humanity.  This was not to satisfy His anger and wrath but it was compelled by His pure love.  He wanted to be with us and with sin in the way that couldn’t happen until we were redeemed.

So why did He do it?

Compelled by love with the purpose of redemption He came for the result of being in union with you.  He came for the result.  The veil has been torn, the door has been opened and the invitation has been sent out.  Now all that’s left is a response from us.  We respond through faith.  This is what we give God in return.  Through faith we stop hanging around in the outer court and go boldly into the holy of holies.  This is why He came—to be with you and for you to be with Him.  So this Christmas stop calling yourself unworthy and give God the gift of your faith.  Go boldly before the throne of grace and simply enjoy the presence of His love for you.

Purpose in the Process

“Moses tended sheep for 40 years not knowing that this was his seminary for leading God’s flock.” -Corey Russell (IHOP KC)

There is always purpose in the process for God’s children. There is purpose in every day and every season. Embrace whatever season you are in with thanksgiving and praise to the Lord! May His will be done!

“Patience isn’t how long you wait, it’s how you wait.”

Rest in the Lord and His goodness today.

He Always Hears You

He hears you! You have no reason to ever doubt that the Lord hears you. He hears you whether you’re praying out loud with a group or alone praying in your head. It sounds a little crazy but He hears your thoughts. I asked the Lord once while praying in my head, “Can you hear my thoughts?” Immediately a very clear and gentle voice replied, “Yes, I hear you.” He always hears you. He listens, He acts and He speaks back. You’re prayers are not wasted beloved. He loves to hear from you.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. (‭Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭17‬ NKJV)

Constantly Changing Perspectives

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭8-9‬ NIV)

I’ve realized that throughout life my perspectives are constantly changing. This doesn’t mean that the truth changes but the way I look at things changes. It even happens with memories. I’ll look at an event in the present one way, then later shift my perspective and view it through memory in a different way. We are constantly changing and growing, either for the better or worse. And even the notion of someone changing for better or worse, is in our thinking, based on our constantly changing perspectives. I see it all the time when someone makes a life change, certain people they know will support them and others won’t. So who decides who has the correct perspective? Clearly society does not all agree. The only one who has the completely right perspective is omniscient God. And so I can only pray and trust that as my perspectives change they are changing to be more like His.

Living Joyfully!

This post is a great word to strengthen the brethren for the trials we may face in this season.

The Living Message of Christ

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭9-10‬ NKJV)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2-4‬ NIV)

These two scriptures encourage us to live with joy in the knowledge that Christ has forgiven our sins and if we have accepted Him as our Savior, then we are truly complete in Him! But, what do you do on the days that things aren’t going so well? Those times when you get a bad report from your doctor or a pink slip from work, what about those days? Are we still supposed to be joyful…

I bless you with pure joy today in Jesus name! You are complete in Him and have the anointing to thrive in the process.

More Than Belief

I don’t just want to believe, I want to have faith.

Faith is so much more than belief.

Faith is trust, loyalty and a heart’s allegiance.

Faith is a verb!
